Roberto oversees the Manufacturing Academy, a six-week CNC and conventional machining training program for unemployed individuals. He also manages Employment Training Panel (ETP) programs with the college. Between 1997 and 1999, Roberto coordinated the Manufacturing Academy at Van Nuys High School. The Van Nuys Academy serves a model program statewide. For over 22 years, he has served as the Education & Training Liaison with the San Fernando Valley Chapter of the National Tooling & Machining Associations (NTMA). Roberto, AKA KongaKid, is also a professional percussionist and facilitates team building drum circles with both non-profit agencies and corporations.
