John has taught Industrial Technology classes for over 36 years at the middle school, high school and community college level. He was one of the first teachers in California to complete technician Special Electronics Training (SET) from General Motors Corp. He believes that a fundamental understanding of basic electricity is now a key element in all areas of CTE. John has also served as President of the California Industrial Technical Educators Association (CITEA); in that role has been a subject matter expert for legislators to address reforms related to vocational education funding and the credentialing of CTE teachers.
