Antonio discovered his passion for Manufacturing Engineering at an early age when his father, Martin Mechsner (Former SMI President), introduced him to his business in the early 2000's. Throughout middle and high school, his father taught him the fundamentals of conventional machining, GD&T, and the nuts and bolts of working with family. Antonio attended Cal State Los Angeles earning his BS in Industrial Technology & Manufacturing while working for the Industrial Metal Supply (IMS) Co., where he learned how to operate and program CNC equipment for the manufacturing department. He continued his working career with Carroll Racing Development as a CNC Machinist, moving on to Aerojet Rocketdyne working as an Associate Manufacturing Engineer. Antonio is now a Senior Manufacturing Engineer on the RS-25 SLS program for NASA where he leads a group of Manufacturing Engineers to develop and manufacture the most powerful rocket engine in the world.
